South Granville Community Centre and Men’s Shed - UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The South Granville Community Centre and Mens Shed is a joint project between Granville Multicultural Community Centre and Housing NSW.

The project has been funded by the NSW Government through the Capacity Building Partnership program.

The Centre is located at 243 Clyde St, South Granville.  It will provide a meeting and activity space for the residents of South Granville, and a permanent

home for the Granville Men’s Shed. The Community Centre will be managed by GMCC, and we will run a range of activities and programs at the

site. GMCC will not relocate to the site, and there are no immediate plans for staff to be based at the site permanently.

The centre will have a resident advisory panel to ensure that the programs run from the site meet the needs of local residents. Groups will be

able to hire the space for a nominal fee, details of booking will be organised early in 2012.

The building is almost finished, and we are currently working on the external ground works and landscaping. We expect to open the centre sometime

around March 2012.
